Virtual Prayer Room
In some ways praying should be easy, it's part of our relationship with God, a conservation with our Father in Heaven bringing us closer together.
However, many of us can struggle with the words to say and distractions around us. Jesus' closest friends, the disciples, asked 'Lord teach us to pray'. In our King's building, we have a prayer room that aims to inspire people to pray through prayer prompts and practical & creative ways to pray.
We have worked to recreate that virtually and hope it will aid you in your prayer life.
Pray the Lord’s Prayer
Many members of the church, and particularly the staff team.are trying to do this each day at 12pm - could you set yourself an alarm to remind you to pray this each day?
This prayer can be found in Matthew chapter 6.
You don’t need to read it word for word, unless that’s helpful, it could be that it helps you to structure prayer in your own words around the same themes that the prayer covers.
Pray for the Food Bank at this time
The King’s Foodbank, and its smaller satellite banks around the city, are putting God’s love into action, by bringing Faith, Hope and Love into our community.
Pray for each encounter with clients and for meaningful conversation and relationships with the wide range of volunteers who are not yet a part of the King’s Church family.
Why not write out a prayer and stick it to your fridge to pray for them regularly.
Pray for worries
Why not make a cross from items in your house, or draw on a piece of paper.
Then down anything you are worried about and take this to the cross.
1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.
Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.
Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Start a prayer wall!
Stick a piece of paper on a wall in your house and write up names of ay person or situation on your mind.
As you see breakthrough, why not add extra notes to remind you of God’s goodness.
