What is Stepping Stones all about?
It’s all about creating a safe and loving space to care for 3-5 year olds on a Sunday morning during the main service. We run every Sunday (apart from any 5th Sundays & Special Sundays where we’re all in together!), heading out after the first slot of worship. It’s an opportunity to hang out, help and encourage some of our youngest and coolest members of the church.
There is some time of free play with toys followed by a teaching time with our favourite dog puppet - Jack.
Our group love learning about our Great Big God and His amazing plan for us.

Why join the team?
The kids of Stepping Stones are so excited to learn about Jesus! It is a fun place to play and learn and grow. Jesus loves to welcome little ones too him and we do too.

What does commitment look like?
Once a month either as a leader or helper. Both roles are so important and the main difference is the leader takes the role of leading the Jack time. The teaching is all provided, but there is the opportunity to plan a craft.

Being part of the pre-service prayer. Getting involved in the worship time to model worship to the kids and families in a fetching yellow T-shirt. Termly team nights to check in and grow and develop. Safeguarding training lead by the church.

What we offer in return…
Annual volunteer celebration. Team Nights (3x a year) with opportunity for honest feedback and fellowship. The chance to be part of building the kingdom with some precious children.

Finding out more looks like...(next steps)
Have a chat with Rachel Tiffen (or email info@thekings.church). Think about what role you might be interested in, come and watch for a session to see what it really looks like. When joining the rota, a DBS check and safeguarding training will be required.
