What is Sunday Operations all about?
Our Sunday meetings are the one point during the week when the whole King’s family gets together. The Sunday Operations team ensures that when we meet, those coming into the building are met with King's at its best, that teams are able to serve easily, with the right equipment and that spaces are as safe as possible. We troubleshoot when problems occur and highlight persistent issues to the SLT.
Why join the team?
To contribute to the meeting so that everyone, old and new, is met with a well-organised and welcoming space, to be able to focus on enjoying a meeting free from issues or distractions. You’ll need to be organised and willing to take initiative to solve problems and find help where needed. An opportunity to serve whilst remaining in the service.
What does commitment look like?
Once a month being on the Sunday Ops team on a Sunday morning:
Arriving at church at 9:15 to make initial checks ahead of pre-service prayer, with some extra checks after the prayer.
After an initial time at the back, and a count of the congregation, you’ll be able to join in the main service, whilst keeping aware of potential issues.
Remaining after church to ensure a smooth cleardown and locking up (or ensuring someone else does).
What we offer in return…
Annual Volunteer celebration!
Termly Team catch up (3x a year) to build up, invest and share together
