What is King's Kids all about?
Starting from November 4th 2022, Kings Kids is our fortnightly, Friday night kids club, running from 6:00pm-7:00pm.
Our aim is to bridge the gap between church and community by providing a fun and safe environment for children to come and learn about who they are and who Jesus is, while their parents and carers enjoy time building relationships in the parents cafe. Kings Kids is an action packed night full of games, worship, teaching and small group time, not to mention prizes and the losing team leader being pied! We want to see lasting transformation in our community through the love of Jesus; we love because He first loved.

Why join the team?
Being a Kings Kids volunteer is just so much fun. We get to be silly, energetic, creative, joyful and child-like in our faith - you'll build so many new friendships and it'll be the best hour of your week!

What does commitment look like?
Serving once or twice a month on a Friday evening, arriving at 5:30pm for set up, until 7:30pm for pack down. Bringing enthusiasm & energy while sporting our King's Kids t-shirts! There are various roles:

  • Helping set up and chat in the parents' cafe

  • Signing-in on the registration table

  • Being a small group leader/ helper, encouraging and chatting

  • Leading up-front leading games, dances or a short talk.

We'll have termly team nights and occasional meals anf fun together too!

What we offer in return…
Annual volunteer thank you celebration!! Termly team nights (3x a year) to build-up, encourage and re-envision together. Fun and friendship. The joy of watching children come to know their Father in Heaven

Finding out more looks like…
Chat to Lizzie Holland or Kate Ayliffe (or email kate@thekings.church). Come and join us one Friday evening to see what it’s all about! Think about what area of the team you would like to serve in. (If joining the rota, a DBS check and safe-guarding training will be required).
