What is King's Kids all about?
Kings Kids is our fortnightly (1st & 3rd Fridays), Friday night kids club, running from 6:00pm-7:00pm.
Our aim is to bridge the gap between church and community by providing a fun and safe environment for children to come and learn about who they are and who Jesus is, while their parents and carers enjoy time building relationships in the Parent Cafe. King’s Kids is an action-packed night full of games, worship, teaching and small-group time, not to mention prizes and the losing team leader being pied! We want to see lasting transformation in our community through the love of Jesus; we love because He first loved.
Why join the team?
Being a King’s Kids volunteer is just so much fun. We get to be silly, energetic, creative, joyful and child-like in our faith - you'll build so many new friendships and it'll be the best hour of your week!
What does commitment look like?
Serving twice a month on a Friday evening, arriving at 5:30pm for set up, until 7:30pm for pack down. Bringing enthusiasm & energy while sporting our King's Kids t-shirts! There are various roles:
Helping set up and chat in the Parent Cafe
Signing-in on the registration table
Being a small group leader/ helper, encouraging and chatting
Leading up-front - leading games, worship dances or a short talk.
What we offer in return…
Annual volunteer thank you celebration!! Fun and friendship. The joy of watching children come to know their Father in Heaven
Finding out more looks like…
Chat toRuth Binstead or Kate Ayliffe (or email kate@thekings.church). Come and join us one Friday evening to see what it’s all about! Think about what area of the team you would like to serve in. (If joining the rota, a DBS check and safe-guarding training will be required).
