What is Kids' Registration all about?
It’s so important that Kings church is a safe place where parents and carers can trust that we take safeguarding of our kids' ministries seriously. The kids registration system helps safeguard our children in their specific ministry groups. We welcome new and visiting families, introduce them to the kids groups. We also let kids teams know which kids are coming through to them, and secure the door between main service and kids groups. We keep communication open between the kids teams and parents as necessary during the service, and support the kids teams during any emergency or needs as they arise.
Why join the team?
Registration is a vital part of welcoming every family to church and helping to keep the kids safe and secure in their groups. We also get to know new people, and get to stay in the service for the worship and preach which is a nice bonus!
What does commitment look like?
The rota commitment is once a month. Registration team arrive at 9.20am and set up the table and laptop, then join in with Pre-Service Prayer before printing off tickets for families and registering new kids. We then allow kids into the group, contact parents as necessary during the service and let the reunited parents and kids back through at the end. A DBS check, safeguarding and GDPR training will be required.
What we offer in return…
A chance to serve without missing out on the service on a Sunday.
Help facilitate the kids groups without getting too near children (if that’s not your thing!)
A vital ministry for the safeguarding of children.
No up-front leading.
