What is Ignite all about?
Ignite is our community outreach youth group that runs in the main church hall on Friday evenings from 7:00-8:30pm for Year 7-11s. It attracts around 30 young people each week from the local community. Ignite will be running fortnightly from Nov 11th. Our vision is to see young people welcomed into a safe space where strong relationships can be built. To equip young people to thrive in all areas of life and grow in confidence and self esteem. To show them the joy and freedom that comes from knowing and having a relationship with Jesus. We create a safe space for young people to be welcomed in and for us to not only share about our faith in Jesus but show them a practical outworking of what our faith means to us through the way we care, encourage and raise up the young people we come into contact with.

Why join the team?
Being an Ignite volunteer can be extremely rewarding. So many of the young people we interact with are just looking for somewhere safe where they can feel wanted, loved and valued. We can love these kids because we know the one who first loved us and it is a joy to get to know them, share about our faith and our testimonies with them as well as providing that consistency of always being a listening ear, a consistent role model and someone to rely on because we turn up for the kids again and again and again, no matter what.

What does commitment look like?
